Hogan Lovells Adds Leading Real Estate Finance Lawyer Ana Tenzer in Denver

Global law firm Hogan Lovells announced today that Ana Lazo Tenzer has joined the firm as a partner in the Corporate practice in Denver. Tenzer, who focuses on real estate finance, will be a member of the firm’s national real estate team.

“A strategic goal of the firm has been to build on our exceptional global real estate capabilities by strengthening and broadening our U.S. real estate practice,” said David Gibbons, Global Head of the Corporate Practice at Hogan Lovells. “Ana is a dynamic addition to our team who brings extensive experience working on complex real estate finance matters and borrower side sale and development transactions.”

Tenzer previously was with Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck, where she served as chair of the firm’s Finance & Lending Group, and before that as co-chair of the firm’s Real Estate Department. She began her legal career at Paul Hastings in New York.

“Hogan Lovells has a strong national platform that will provide a tremendous advantage to my clients,” Tenzer said. “I am also looking forward to working with colleagues in the Denver office who have built a widely recognized real estate practice, which provides opportunities for regional expansion as well.”

Tenzer represents lenders and borrowers, including investment banks, private equity firms and their portfolio companies, institutional investors and insurance companies. She represents major companies in their mortgage and asset portfolios, structured loan and credit facilities, single and multi-property commercial mortgage loans, mezzanine loans, preferred equity and EB-5 equity and debt transactions.

“We are thrilled to welcome Ana to the Denver office,” said Cole Finegan, who is the Hogan Lovells regional managing partner for the Americas and office managing partner of the Denver office. “We know Ana well, and she brings a great deal of knowledge and experience to clients in the Denver region, as well as those across the United States and globally. She is a respected presence in the real estate world.”

Tenzer earned her JD from the New York University School of Law, and her undergraduate degree, with the highest honors, from Barnard College at Columbia University.
