Dechert Strengthens its Global Finance Group with London Partner Hire

Dechert LLP has expanded its 140-lawyer strong global finance group with the strategic hire of London-based partner Sarah Smith. Spanning the world’s major financial centers, the group provides clients with creative financing strategies and innovative deal structuring.

Sarah Smith advises on complex financial products with a focus on public and privately placed structured finance transactions, and the restructuring of structured finance instruments. Miss Smith also has significant experience advising on the structuring of and investments in bank capital instruments.

Dechert’s global finance practice group recent hires include London-based structured finance and securitization specialist Cameron Mitcham, Dubai-based Stephen Kelley and Sarah Mahood, and Paris-based Privat Vigand.

Dechert’s finance capabilities are focused on commercial real estate finance, collateralized loan obligations, commercial mortgage-backed securitization and asset-backed securitization. The global finance team advises leading investment banks, commercial banks, insurance companies, REITs and other public and privately held corporations, private equity sponsors, hedge funds, debt funds, mezzanine lenders, alternate lenders and other market participants.
