Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher LLP is pleased to announce that Michael Celio has joined the firm as a partner in the Palo Alto office. Formerly a partner with Keker, Van Nest & Peters in San Francisco, he will continue to focus on securities litigation, white collar defense and securities enforcement.
“Michael will be a terrific addition to the firm,” said Ken Doran, Chairman and Managing Partner of Gibson Dunn. “He is an experienced trial lawyer, having tried more than a dozen cases to verdict in state and federal courts, including both civil and criminal matters. He has handled a number of complex civil and criminal enforcement actions brought by the Securities and Exchange Commission and the Department of Justice. He has successfully defended numerous high-profile clients in federal district and circuit courts throughout the country, and he will add to our deep bench of skilled litigators in Northern California and firmwide.”
“Michael is a highly credentialed and accomplished trial litigator, with tremendous civil and white collar criminal experience,” said Benjamin Wagner, Partner in Charge of the Palo Alto office. “Michael has spent his entire career as a litigator in the Bay Area and has earned a strong reputation in the region. His addition will strengthen our Securities Litigation practice in Northern California and nationally.”
“Gibson Dunn is a major player in big-ticket securities and class action litigation,” said Celio. “I am incredibly excited to be joining a firm that I have admired for many years.”
