DLA Piper appoints new UK Managing Partner

DLA Piper has appointed Manchester-based Finance and Projects partner, Liam Cowell, as UK Managing Partner as of 1 January 2019.

Liam joined DLA Piper in 1994 and is the Managing Partner for the North West (Liverpool and Manchester). He will take over from Sandra Wallace, who following over three very successful years in the role will step down at the end of her term, to focus on her role as Joint Managing Director for the UK & Europe.

Liam Cowell said: “I am absolutely delighted to be appointed to the role of UK Managing Partner and I would like to thank Sandra for her substantial contribution to our UK business and the firm as a whole.
