Butler Snow Attorney Randall D. McClanahan Appointed to National Conference of Lawyers and Certified Public Accountants

Butler Snow is pleased to announce that Randall D. McClanahan has been appointed by the president of the American Bar Association to a three-year term to the National Conference of Lawyers and Certified Public Accountants (NCLCPA).

The NCLCPA is the official liaison body between the American Bar Association and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, consisting of nine members of each profession appointed by the presidents of the respective organizations. Founded in 1948, its purpose is to foster excellence of professional performance in the public interest by providing a forum for identifying, discussing and proposing recommendations for the resolution of public issues of professional concern between the two professions.

“This is a well-deserved honor for Randy, who has held many leadership positions with the American Bar Association over the years,” said Donald Clark, Jr., chairman of Butler Snow. “We look forward to Randy’s continued vision as he serves the NCLCPA and helps chart the association’s future strategy. ”

Randy is a member of Butler Snow’s business services group. He focuses his practice on corporate law, federal tax law, executive compensation, mergers and acquisitions and venture capital and private equity transactions. He is also a licensed CPA in Alabama and Georgia.

Randy is a member of the American, Alabama and Birmingham Bar Associations, the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the National Association of Certified Valuation Analysts, and the Alabama Society of Certified Public Accountants. He has been recognized by Best Lawyers® for tax law and is AV-Preeminent rated by Martindale-Hubbell®. Randy earned a bachelor’s in accounting from Auburn University, a master’s of tax accounting from the University of Alabama, an MBA from Duke University and a Juris Doctor from the University of North Carolina School of Law.
